Jones’ practice focuses on complex civil litigation and business disputes. He defends business clients involved in product liability defense, franchise and distribution disputes, insurance defense and coverage issues, trust and estate litigation, as well as real estate litigation.\n \nBilly’s practice has also included representation of clients in a variety of appellate courts, including the Colorado Court of Appeals, the federal Fourth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals, the Virginia Supreme Court, and the South Dakota Supreme Court. Billy has tried cases in over 15 states over the lifetime of his career.\n \nFocused and aggressive, Billy represents corporate clients in the variety of claims that arise in the business world. For his clients with interests in manufacturing, product distribution, and retail businesses, Billy has extensive experience defending against manufacturing, design defect, negligence, and breach of warranty claims.\n \nBilly is the former Vice-chair of Moye White’s Trial Section and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Franchise & Distribution Group, representing franchisors in franchise disputes, and providing valuable advice regarding business development and sales, as well as offerings compliance. He is also active in representing clients in Colorado’s burgeoning brewing and distilling markets.\n \nBilly provides exceptional counsel at trial, through appeal, and in mediation and arbitration proceedings. He has extensive experience before the state and federal courts in Colorado, and has represented clients in various federal courts throughout the country.\n \n \n \nAdam L. Truitt joined Financial Designs Ltd. (FDL) in 2004. He was named the President of the company in 2017. In his role as President he will focus on the strategic and long-term growth for FDL helping to continue its legacy of over 45 years. He manages new client development and serves as an advisor to high net worth families and business owners. His emphasis is on creating customized estate and life insurance solutions to help meet their business and charitable goals.\n \nPrior to joining FDL, he practiced with a certified public accounting firm working with businesses in the manufacturing, franchising, distribution, and technology industries.\n \nAdam has a BS in business administration from the University of Colorado and is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. He also holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designations.\n \nHe is past President of the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council and the Denver Estate Planning Council. Adam is active in the community serving on several boards, including ACE Scholarships Board of Advisors and The Children’s Hospital Legacy Planning Advisory Council.\n \nAdam and his wife, Katy, and their three children live in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
