He has more than 20 years of corporate financial advisory experience and has provided services to clients for a variety of purposes, including fairness opinions for corporate transactions; solvency opinions; valuation analyses for leveraged and unleveraged ESOPs and advisory services related to the sale; merger and divestiture of privately held companies and public and private company subsidiaries.  \n \n \n \nPreviously Jay was the Practice Leader for ESOP Advisory Services for Navigant Capital Advisors, LLC, a division of Navigant Consulting, Inc.; a Managing Director and Group Head of ESOP Investment Banking with Citi Capital Strategies, a division of Citigroup, leading M&A execution in the Southeast and ESOP deal execution across the U.S.; a Managing Director with Duff & Phelps, LLC, in the ESOP Advisory Group; held senior positions at two national financial advisory firms and was in the financial advisory groups of BDO USA, LLP and Ernst & Young, LLP, as well as NationsBank (now Bank of America). \n \nJay is a professional member of the ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO), and frequently speaks on valuation topics at events sponsored by both of these organizations.
